What does a website reset erase, and how do I undo it?
What resetting the website erases, what stays, and how to restore the copy.
Resetting lives under ErgoWeb → Settings → Technical status. To go ahead you type the office's name; before anything is erased, a copy is kept for 30 days.
| Erased | Stays |
|---|---|
| Pages, menu, posts, appearance and images; the website's cover, the «about» text, the footer and whether the hours are shown, the search title and description; the visit statistics; the services' descriptions for the website | Projects, customers, work items and the catalogue — only each service's sentence for the website is erased; and the office's logo and hours, which belong to the office, not the website |
While the copy exists, a Copy from… row with its date lets you restore the website as it was.
Resetting is done by whoever may delete in ErgoWeb:
| Permission | Office Owner | Office administrator | Project manager | Technical staff | Secretariat | Accounting | Website manager |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delete ErgoWeb pages, posts and media | yes | yes | no | no | no | no | yes |
