Getting started

How do I get started with Ergothiki?

The start guide on Home: the four essential steps that set the office up, and the optional ones you look at when you choose.

On this page Which steps are essential? Which steps are optional? What happens once they are done?

A new office sees the start guide on Home: a list of steps, each with a button that opens the right page and, where there is one, a How? link to its article. It is shown to the owner and to whoever changes the office's settings — in your office:

The home page of a new office shows its first steps: the essential ones first, then the optional ones.
The office's home page

Which steps are essential?

Without these the office is not set up. They are marked «Done» only when they really are done.

StepDone when
Office details & registerThe office has a name, an address, a tax number and, where one is asked for, a registration number
ServicesAt least one service is switched on in the office's catalogue
First projectThe first project exists
First offerThe first offer exists

Which steps are optional?

Logo, Team, Time & labour cost, ErgoWeb, Office email, Two-step verification. An office may never need some of these: whoever sees the guide presses Checked, and the list notes who checked it and when; one press undoes it. Team and ErgoWeb only appear when their feature is switched on for the office.

What happens once they are done?

Once the essentials are done, the guide folds into one line on the Home page; it does not leave by itself, even when the optional steps are done too, so you can find it again. The owner hides it: Show → Hide. The guide comes back from Settings → Office → Office details.

A good order for the first day: the office's details and logo, the services you offer, a first project, a first offer, and then inviting the team and setting their roles.
