With **two-step verification**, after your password Ergothiki also asks for a code from an authenticator app on your phone. If someone learns your password, it is not enough to get in.

### How do I switch it on for my account?

In **Account › Profile & password**, on the **Security** tab: scan the QR code with the app, type the code it shows, and keep the **recovery codes** somewhere safe — they get you in if you lose your phone. Switching it off needs your password, and any devices you had marked as trusted are forgotten. The same tab shows your sessions.

### How is it made required for the whole office?

In **Team › Team settings › Security**, in the **Two-step verification** card, **Required for every member of the office** takes effect at once, once you confirm it: the window says which members will set it up. Any member who has not switched it on is taken to set it up after their next sign-in — with a password or with a Google or Microsoft account. **Remove** asks for confirmation too; those who already have it on keep it.

**Members' status** shows who has it on, who will set it up at the next sign-in, and each person's last sign-in.

The office's switch is changed by whoever changes the office's settings, when the office has roles:

| Permission | Office Owner | Office administrator | Project manager | Technical staff | Secretariat | Accounting | Website manager |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Change the office settings | ✓yes | ✓yes | —no | —no | —no | —no | —no |
