# How do I create a project from a permit's documents?

> Upload the PDFs of a building permit; what you would otherwise type is read, and you choose what goes into the project, and where.

A **building permit** already contains what you would type for a new project: owners, engineers, studies and supervision, location, KAEK. This feature reads them from the PDFs and shows them to you to check; nothing is saved until you confirm at the end of the review.

| From where | What it makes |
| --- | --- |
| Projects → **New project from documents** | A new project with its customer, partners and items |
| Inside a project → **Add from documents** | Items and files in that project |

### Which documents do I upload?

Acts from the e-Adeies permit system, drawings with a legend, certificates. An act is read in full; a drawing only by its legend — never coordinates or dimensions. A scanned file, or one whose letters come out garbled, is read as an image and costs more.

### What does the reading cost?

The **Read documents** button tells you how many credits will be charged before you press it. The charge is made per file when the provider answers, and stands even if you cancel in the end. It appears in the **Credit history** and in the **Service statement** as «Permit reading».

### What do I check and choose?

Every value shows its source; anything not found word for word in the document comes unticked. You choose the customer, the partners and which items go in; an engineer can be linked to only some of their items. Fees are never filled in, and existing customers and partners are not changed.

### Who can do it?

Anyone who may create and change projects — in your office:

| Permission | Office Owner | Office administrator | Project manager | Technical staff | Secretariat | Accounting | Website manager |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Create and edit projects and work items | ✓yes | ✓yes | ✓yes | —no | —no | —no | —no |

The feature is for offices in Greece and needs AI reading to be available.

An import left untouched for a week, in upload or in review, closes by itself as «expired»: its temporary files are deleted and any charge already made stands.

Permit acts are already published on Diavgeia, the Greek public-decisions site. For what is sent to the AI provider, see Data Protection.
