# How do notifications work, and what can I silence?

> Where notifications arrive, how to read and clear them, which categories you can silence, and the daily summary.

The **bell** at the top shows your latest notifications and how many you have not read; one becomes read when you press it, or all at once with **Mark all as read**. **All notifications** opens the centre: filters for read, category and period (30 or 90 days, or the whole history), a search, and deleting one, the selected ones or all the read ones.

### Which notifications can I silence?

On Notifications, the **Settings** button opens the page of your choices: two switches for each category, **In Ergothiki** (the bell) and **By email** — off in both means it never reaches you. Under «When the emails arrive» you choose **At once** (with optional quiet hours 22:00–07:00) or **One summary a day** at the hour you set; if there is nothing, no email is sent. The essential ones always arrive at once:

| Can be silenced | Never silenced |
| --- | --- |
| Assignments · Deadlines · Projects · Planning · Timer · Customer portal · Notes · Collaboration · Office · Support | Subscription · System · Plan limits & account — required notices |

Categories for a feature the office does not have are neither sent nor shown. Notifications about leave only arrive between 09:00 and midnight, on the office's clock. When more than five tasks, more than five work items or more than five expenses become overdue for you on the same day, you get one notification for that kind, with their number and a link to the list, instead of one for each.

### How do I get the daily summary?

In **Account › Profile & password**, on the **Notifications** tab, switch on the **Daily summary by email** and choose a time between 06:00 and 10:00. It comes only when the office has Planning, only on working days, and only when there is something to say.
