# How do I delete the office?

> How the owner deletes the office, what happens over the next 14 days, and how the office comes back if they change their mind.

**Delete the office** (Settings → Data) is for the owner alone. Before it, it is wise to download the full export.

### What are the steps?

Press **Delete the office**, type your password and press **Send the confirmation email**. The email has the Excel export attached and a link that is valid for 24 hours. Until then nothing changes. Opening the link you type your password again: the subscription is cancelled, the office is locked and you are signed out.

| After 14 days | A full copy is kept and the data is deleted; payment records stay, anonymised, as the law requires |
