The **KAEK** is the national code number that identifies a property in the Hellenic Cadastre. In Ergothiki it is entered on each **work item**, not on the project as a whole: a project that covers several properties has a KAEK on each of its items. This article is for offices in Greece.

### Where do I enter the KAEK?

In the project, on the **Items** tab: in the **KAEK** field of the form when you add an item — your own, one you give to a partner or one a partner gives you — or, for an item that already exists, through its **Edit**. Once saved, the KAEK shows in the item's **Details**.

### What form does it take?

Twelve digits, optionally followed by two pairs of digits: **123456789012-00-00**. The field is checked when you save:

| You type | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| 123456789012 | Saved as 123456789012-00-00 — the ending is added |
| 123456789012-01-03 | Saved as you typed it |
| Anything else (11 digits, say, or a space or full stop in the middle) | Not saved; the field shows the correct form |
| Nothing | The item is saved without a KAEK |

### Who can change it?

Anyone who may create and change projects — in your office:

| Permission | Office Owner | Office administrator | Project manager | Technical staff | Secretariat | Accounting | Website manager |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Create and edit projects and work items | ✓yes | ✓yes | ✓yes | —no | —no | —no | —no |

A KAEK identifies a real property. When you publish a project on ErgoWeb, the KAEK is on the list of details that are **never** published.
